Vaso-Vasectomy

For permanent contraception or male sterilisation, a vasectomy is an optional surgical operation. In order to prevent sperm from entering the urethra and preventing the fertilisation of a female through sexual activity, the male vasa deferentia are cut, knotted, or sealed during the surgery. Vasectomies are often carried out at a doctor’s office, medical facility, or veterinary clinic if they are performed on an animal. Since the surgery is straightforward, the incisions are tiny, and the requisite equipment is common, hospitalisation is typically not necessary. Post-vasectomy pain syndrome is the main possible consequence.

A vasectomy can be performed using a variety of techniques, all of which occlude (or “seal”) at least one side of each vas deferens. Those who are anxious or uncomfortable around needles may choose to explore a “no-needle” application of anaesthetic, while “no-scalpel” or “open-ended” procedures can speed up recovery and enhance the likelihood of a healthy recovery.
